LOD BIM Upgradation

The Level Of Development (LOD) is an industry-standard framework that defines the detail and accuracy of information included in the BIM model. It defines the content like geometric information, structured data, and linked documents and the reliability of the BIM elements at different developmental stages of the project. The LOD levels range from 100 to 500.

LOD 100 is the conceptual design and showcases the approximate geometry. LOD 200 is the schematic designing stage that displays features such as shapes, locations, dimensions, and more. LOD 300 is the building design development stage that displays specific elements with accurate size and shape. LOD 350 is the construction documentation stage that includes building components like connections and support. LOD 400 is the construction stage which includes details such as fabrication, assembly, and installation of the components. LOD 500 is the As-Built stage of LOD that displays the exact representation of the As-Built elements.
